Change management in the AI era: challenges and opportunities for human talent administration
Synopsis
The increasing incorporation of artificial intelligence technologies into the workplace poses significant challenges and opportunities for human capital management. This chapter critically analyzes these aspects. Through a qualitative documentary review, recent research is examined to understand the transformative role of AI in business processes. The analysis is structured around three main axes: the challenges of technological integration, the continuous updating of skills, and the consolidation of a digital organizational culture. Subsequently, opportunities in talent planning and development are highlighted, emphasizing how AI can optimize selection processes, improve retention, drive lifelong learning, and strengthen digital skills. Finally, strategies for responsible implementation are proposed, including appropriate regulatory frameworks and continuous impact assessment. In conclusion, a framework is articulated that allows organizations to harness the potential of AI in talent management, considering its ethical and social implications.
