Artificial Intelligence as a Disruptive Tool in Programming Learning
Synopsis
The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom has become one of the most significant resources for creating knowledge, generating a great impact on the development of technology at the same time it has brought a significant transformation in society.
AI has become a mainstream tool that encompasses the entire educational process in almost all branches of knowledge, including all levels. Programming learning is not an exception. The use of this in software development enables the generation of knowledge based on each student's pace, and it provides immediate feedback, which facilitates error correction and greater precision. Although developing software in less time and of better quality is synonymous with optimizing the time factor, the real challenge arises when students resort to using artificial intelligence without having previously developed basic skills in computational logic. The direct use of AI in this training process can generate complete dependency, causing a delay in the acquisition of fundamental skills for a student new to software development. Therefore, the main challenge is to ensure that artificial intelligence functions as a cognitive framework that enables the construction of knowledge and not as a tool that ends up supplanting or replacing the acquisition of basic skills.
This study utilizes a qualitative, cross-sectional, documentary research method, which employs a digital questionnaire created for the Google Forms platform, chosen for its efficiency and ease of exporting results for subsequent analysis.
